Underlying causes we investigate
PCOS (most common cause in Indian women), thyroid dysfunction, insulin resistance, adrenal disorders, hyperprolactinaemia, and idiopathic hirsutism. A simple Day-2 hormone panel often reveals the answer.
Treatment plan
Combined oral contraceptives or anti-androgens (spironolactone, finasteride for women in select cases), metformin if insulin-resistant, lifestyle and weight optimisation, and concurrent laser hair removal at our Gachibowli clinic for visible hair.
Laser is the best cosmetic option
Diode + Nd:YAG laser sessions every 4–6 weeks for 8–10 cycles permanently reduce hair density. With hormonal control, results are far more durable than laser alone.
What to expect
Hormonal results emerge over 3–6 months. Visible hair reduction in 4–6 laser sessions. Lifelong management may be needed for chronic conditions like PCOS — but your hair, skin and confidence improve dramatically.
